Meet Our Administration Staff

Nicole Newlon serves as the Administrator at Shining Light Christian Academy. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Fairmont State University in 2015 and began her teaching career as a Pre-K teacher for Randolph County Schools. Since then, she has taught a range of elementary grades, including Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade, bringing over nine years of classroom experience.

Nicole holds a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education and a Certificate in Autism from West Virginia University. She is currently working toward her Administration Certificate and degree through Marshall University and anticipates graduating in December 2025.

Throughout her career, Nicole has been recognized for her commitment to excellence in education, including being honored as a School-Level Teacher of the Year. She is also a gymnastics coach at Mountain Gymnastics Academy, where she has coached for nearly three years—helping young athletes grow in strength, confidence, and discipline.

With a deep passion for helping students discover their unique talents and recognize how smart they truly are, Nicole brings both compassion and experience to her leadership role. Her faith has been a constant in her life—she has attended church since she was four years old—and it continues to guide her in serving families and children.
